The aim of the Foreign Language I course is to ensure that students who take the course acquire a basic level of English vocabulary by the end of the semester, can understand basic written and spoken English expressions, acquire basic reading skills and strategies, and apply their existing knowledge in these areas.



1 Students will be able to recall A1 level English words and phrases.
2 Students will be able to identify A1 level grammar structures effectively.
3 Students will be able to identify the topic of a text, the main idea of a text, and the details in a text.
4 Students will be able to employ A1 level grammar structures to follow an academic lecture, to communicate with acceptable accuracy, and to comprehend various reading texts.
