The main aim of this course is to teach the students how to comprehend subtle and deep meanings while reading or listening in Turkish; to establish the consciousness of Turkish as one of the richest, the most creative and fundamental languages; to feel an affection toward the language; to have pleasure in reading, to have good reading habits and develop reading abilities, and also to teach fundamental cultural values of the Turkish people; in short to develop and increase thinking, writing and communication abilities of the students as individuals.
