The purpose of this course is bringing studenst in introducing the material selection criteria based on the concepts and knowledge of engineering materials and teaching how to create the necessary criteria for special applications, explaining the factors to be considered in material selection and their effects, determining of material properties, being able to design and selection by taking into account the costs.
