Week Subjects (Theoretical) Teaching Methods Preparatory
The use of statistics in the field of health and the importance
Variables (qualitative, quantitative) Nominal , ordinal (ordered), interval (spacing), proportional, discrete and continuous variables Descriptive statistics 1-Measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode, geometric mean) What time, which will use the criteria of central tendency 2-Propagation criteria (range, standard deviation, variance, variation coefficient of variation, percentile, interquartile range)
Normal distribution Why is it important feature of the data distribution? Distribution of the criteria (to the right, left skewness) Distribution tests
Basic statistical concepts Standard error of the sample, the standard deviation and standard error Confidence interval and confidence limits Hypothesis testing, p-value, error level, the test statistic, the direction of the hypothesis
Descriptive Graphics and Tables Tables (one-way, two-way, nested multi-faceted) Graphs (histograms, line, pie, bar, relationship chart, graph boxer bag, stem leaf chart) Computer assisted practice
Parametric and Nonparametric Tests on SPSS packet program One-Group mean Confidence limits Student t test for one group mean
What is the Independence and dependence? Dependent on working arrangements with the two groups Dependent for the two groups paired sample t test (parametric) Dependent for the two groups the Wilcoxon test (nonparametric)
Comparison of the mean of two independent groups The two groups of the mean student t test (parametric) The two groups of the mean Mann-Whitney U test (nonparametric) Significancy test of the difference between two pairs
Computer assisted practice
Midterm Exam
Comparison of group averages more than two One-way of variance analysis (parametric) Kruskall Wallis One-way of variance analysis (nonparametric)
Comparison of the Independent two-group rate Chi-square (Pearson, Fisher, Yates) Comparison of the dependent group rates Mc Nemar test, Kappa statistics
Correlation analysis What is the Correlation? Correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination Correlation analysis
Computer assisted practice
Article on statistical evaluation and presentation
