The objective of this course is to provide the multi-disciplinary students with the basic of radiography principles, terminology, techniques, its applications and process controls.

5 5-Be able to provide hands-on experience for the field of radiography.
6 6-Be able to perform and interpret standart radiographic process control test.
7 7-Be able to gain safety attitudes and apply procedures related to the radiographic testing in the various field of industries.

2 Atomic structure, electromagnetic waves and their properties and isotopes. Penetrating radiation sources Guided problem solving
3 Interaction of electromagnetic radiation and matter. Effects of exposure to nuclear radiation. Guided problem solving
4 Particles (alpha, beta and gamma radiation), industrial isotopes. Radiation measurements (intensity, activity and half-life) Guided laboratory work
5 Nuclear radiation sources used in radiographic testing in industry. Classify the radiation sources used as to energy and their half-life. Guided laboratory work
