This lesson aims students to learn the works of movable handicrafts in Turkish Art that produced from the materials like wood, metal, glass, leather, gypsum, paper and cloth considering the technical details and production conditions; it aims students to evaluate the patterns and compositions of these works considering Turkish Art history in Anatolia.



1 To have knowledge about terms and concepts related to traditional Turkish arts.
2 The importance of traditional Turkish arts; to have information about their contributions to the individual, society and national economy
3 To have information about the historical development of traditional Turkish arts in Anatolia
4 Classification of traditional arts according to raw materials and production techniques; traditional weaving (carpet-rug, fabric, etc.), printing, knitting, felt, glass (stained glass, glassware, beads, etc.) arts; metal (iron, copper, silver and gold etc.) arts; wood (kündekari, carving and mother-of-pearl inlay) arts; have knowledge about tile-ceramic arts
