General Description

Master Program in Education Management, Inspection, Planning and Economy started in September, 1997.

Students who have successfully completed the program take the degree of Master and get the diploma in Education Management, Inspection, Planning and Economy.

Master of Science (M.S.)

Being graduated from any teacher training program or having a certificate of teaching formation.

Having an undergraduate certificate with cumulative grade point average of at least 70 points, having at least 55 points in ALES, having at least 55 points in one of the standard tests of English, French and Deutsch.

Master diploma in Education Management, Inspection, Planning and Economy is given to students who successfully complete at least 24 credits (60 ECTS) of the Education Management, Inspection, Planning and Economy courses; received cumulative grade point average of at least 75 points out of 100 and successfully pass an oral examination in defense of the dissertation.

The aim of this program is to train specialists in Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning and Economics who can carry out school management processes, act in accordance with professional ethical principles, and examine educational problems based on scientific method. The program includes compulsory courses on Educational Administration, Inspection, Planning and Economics and scientific research methods. In addition to the compulsory courses, there are elective courses related to educational administration according to students' preferences.

Graduates who have a Master's degree in Educational Administration, Inspection, Planning and Economics can work in various institutions (public schools, military schools, private schools, some public institutions, etc.) as education manager, education supervisor, education economist and education planner, etc. As well as working with titles, they can work as school director, inspector and assistant in private and public education institutions.

Students who have successfully completed master program and received cumulative grade point average of at least 70 points out of 100, having 55 points in ALES, having at least 55 points in one of the standard exams of English, French and Deutsch and successfully pass an written and oral examination can be accepted to the Ph.D Program.

Measurement and assessment requirements for every course are described elaborately in course syllabuses.

Mater diploma in Educational Administration, Inspection, Planning and Economics is given to students who successfully complete at least 24 credits (60 ECTS) of the Educational Administration, Inspection, Planning and Economics courses; received cumulative grade point average of at least 70 points out of 100 and successfully pass an oral examination in defense of the dissertation.

There are seven professors, eleven associate professor and five assistant professors in department of Educational Science. There are 25 classrooms, three computer labs, one science lab and projection in each classroom and lab in the classroom building of Education Faculty. Moreover, there are 15 notebooks, six projections, recording devices and cameras for instruction and research projects. The three computer labs have a capacity of 130 students. There is a central library in Bornova campus.
