Medical and agricultural schools to teach courses in physics for teaching students to FKB on May 20, 1958 established under the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Medicine formed the core of today`s Physics Department. Ankara University Faculty of Arts and Sciences faculty member, Department of Physics and Institute of Physics, Istanbul University, Faculty of Science laboratory equipment and material contributions of Experimental education department in 1961, starting with the establishment of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences on October 4, 1961 Experimental Chair of Physics, Theoretical Physics Chair and General Physics Chair, to be established three chairs.
The Bachelor`s Degree in Physics ( first cycle in Physics) is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.
4 Year, 8 Semesters

Bachelor of Science Degree
The students which are managed exams and completed the process which are determined by OSYM take to the Physics Undergraduate Program .
Started his education at home or outside the equivalent of a student in the program may apply for lateral transfer. Students begin the adoption period, taking into account each student`s degree requirements and his application is examined and treated as special. An agreement approved by the University and student exchange programs with the limits specified under the section in English, students from abroad may take the courses. If students are proficient in Turkish language Turkish Lesson Plan for any course may register.
Foreign language proficiency of the students admitted to foreign language preparatory school, before the start of the academic year is determined by a qualifying examination to be made by the Department of Foreign Languages. The proficiency exam grade is 70 out of 100 full marks according to absolute evaluation method . One is connected to the curriculum during student registration renewal must sign up for classes at. If that course is a prerequisite for registration status is essential to succeed in the courses.
Students have to take four years of compulsory and university, faculty and department elective courses are composed of four parts. The first four semesters students are taking courses in basic physics and mathematics in the last four semesters after courses in physics as a receive-weighted. In this program, students select their courses in the near field of interest and provides the capability to redirect themselves.
Higher education institutions can work as a teacher, teacher formation program, provided by graduates to achieve, because of physics underpin various branches of engineering research and development laboratories in various fields of industry, might provide useful services. Mineral Research and Exploration Institute of Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, the State Hydraulic Works, Turkey Scientific and Technical Research Council, Atomic Energy Authority, Private Entities Calibration Centers, Hospitals and Private Hospitals School of Medicine Oncology Center, Nuclear Medicine Center, Physical Therapy Centers and public and Similar private sector researchers, planners and health can work as a physicist.
Student who completes the program successfully in the field of physical science that accepts students from this area or the master`s and doctoral degrees in other disciplines may apply.
Achievement score on a course exam, the student`s midterm exam of that course and any other educational activities while 40% of the average of the scores, if the final or supplementary examinations scores obtained by the addition of 60% of the points.
The unit of the science faculty is given a diploma to students who are successfully completed with theoretical, practical courses and 240 ECTS in the educational program by the decision of the board of directors .
