Ege University Faculty of Health Sciences was established in 2010-2011 academic year with the decision of the Council of Ministers (Official Gazette dated 15.04.2011 and numbered 27905). Ege University Faculty of Health Sciences Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department was established with the letter dated 24/02/2017 and numbered 14270 by the Higher Education Council Presidency and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Graduate Program started to be implemented since the academic year of 2020-2021.

Students are admitted to the master's program by a written scientific evaluation exam and / or interview. Students can be admitted to the master's programs with thesis at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. The number of students to be admitted to the master's programs with thesis, the qualifications to be sought in candidate students and the candidate evaluation criteria are decided upon by the institute, taking into account the suggestions of the departmental committees and submitted to the Senate. This information is announced on the dates determined by the institute board of directors. In this announcement; The documents required for the application, the application dates and conditions, the qualifications required for the candidate students for each program, the candidate evaluation criteria and the date, time, place and other issues that the candidates will undertake in written scientific evaluation and / or interview. The maximum number of programs that a student can apply is determined and announced by the institute board of directors. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and have a minimum score of 55 in the relevant score type from ALES, which is centrally conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), or equivalent to 55 ALES from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) exam. They must have points. The equivalence of undergraduate diplomas obtained from abroad must be approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates; Until the application deadline stated in the announcement, they fill in ALES documents, undergraduate diplomas, approved grades stating their courses at the undergraduate level, their graduation grade averages, information about other registration and apply to the institute directorate with the candidate number they provide in the internet registration medium. Registration procedures of the candidates are arranged and executed by the relevant institute directorate. In order for applicants to apply, at least 60 points from the graduate foreign language proficiency exam held by the School of Foreign Languages, or at least 50 points from the central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK, or international foreigners whose equivalence is accepted by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM). they must have a score equivalent to 50 points in language exams. However, candidates who apply to the programs teaching in a foreign language have a minimum score of 70 from the master's foreign language proficiency exam held by the School of Foreign Languages ​​or from the central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK, or international foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by OSYM. they must have scored. Foreign language certificate is not sought from candidates who certify that they have graduated from a higher education institution or program that offers a full foreign language education in the last 3 years. ALES score, written scientific evaluation and / or interview method are used in addition to the undergraduate GPA in the evaluation of candidates applying to master's programs with thesis. Which or which of the written scientific evaluation and / or interview measurement methods will be used is determined by the proposal of the department, the decision of the institute board of directors and the approval of the Senate. The contributions of ALES score, undergraduate GPA, written scientific evaluation and / or interview evaluation to calculate the placement score to be used in the evaluation of candidates applying for master's programs with thesis are as follows. * Applying to master's programs with thesis, T.C. In case of both interview and written scientific evaluation of TRNC candidates, and 50% of the ALES score, 25% of the undergraduate graduate grade point average, 10% of the undergraduate graduation grade, 15% of the undergraduate graduate grade is the sum of. * Applying to master's programs with thesis, T.C. and TRNC national candidates only calculate the placement score (including distance education programs) in case of an interview or only written scientific evaluation, 50% of the ALES score, 25% of the undergraduate graduation grade average (if only an interview), 10% of the interview grade, written 25% of the scientific evaluation score (only if written scientific evaluation). Placement scores are not calculated for candidates who do not undertake written scientific evaluation and / or interview, or whose written scientific evaluation grade and / or interview grade are below 50, and these candidates are considered unsuccessful. In case of both written scientific evaluation and interview, first written scientific evaluation and then interview are made and candidate who does not participate in written scientific evaluation is not interviewed. Candidates with a placement score of 60 or higher in master's programs with thesis are ranked starting from the highest according to their scores. Candidates within the quota gain the right to register for the programs they apply for.

Successful students who have completed at least one semester in another department of the same institute at the university or in the graduate program affiliated with the equivalent institute of another higher education institution can be admitted to the graduate programs through horizontal transfer. In order for a student to be admitted to the transfer application, the grade point average of the courses he / she has enrolled until the application date is at least 75, that there is a coherence between the graduate curriculum he / she is currently studying and the program he / she wants to pass in terms of courses and admission requirements. faculty and infrastructure facilities must be available. The student who wants to transfer to a graduate program of the university; He / she applies to the relevant institute directorate at least three weeks before the start of the following semester education by adding the documents introducing the current education program and indicating the success of the enrolled courses. Director of the institution; sends the application documents to the relevant department or head of the department, asking for the opinion of the department, and if this opinion is positive, the names of the courses that the student deems necessary to adapt to the program. The opinions and suggestions of the department are examined by the Institute Board of Directors and the decision on whether the student's transfer request is suitable is decided before the start date of the education. The courses that the student takes while enrolled in another university's postgraduate program are determined by the recommendation of the advisor and the relevant Department Board and the approval of the Graduate School Administrative Board, in case of subsequent enrollment in a graduate program at the University. based on non-formal certification outside formal educational institutions in Turkey or based on experience (in-formal and non-formal) recognition of the learning process it is at an early stage. For this reason, recognition of prior learning is not fully initiated in all programs of Ege University.

The program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and a thesis study, provided that it is not less than 21 local credits. Graduate education program consists of compulsory and elective courses. Total ECTS credit of the program is 120. However, students who have taken some of the courses of the program as a special student at the undergraduate level according to the 8th article of Ege University Graduate Education Regulation have completed their thesis at a faculty whose normal period is more than eight semesters, including the preparatory class, or their thesis. Students who can complete in a short time can complete their education in a shorter time with the reasoned recommendation of the relevant department and the decision of the Institute Board of Directors. In addition to the midterm and final exams, learning activities such as reports, assignments, quizzes, seminar presentations and project work can be used in the student's performance evaluation during the semester. This grade must be at least 70 out of 100 in order to be successful in the related course. The student can register again for the courses he / she has failed or may take other graduate courses approved by the advisor. In addition, the courses can be selected from the courses offered in the other higher education institutions with the recommendation of the advisor and the head of the related institute department and the approval of the Institute Executive Board, or, if the consultant deems appropriate, it can be selected from the doctoral program courses. It is specified by the institute how many of the courses taken from other higher education institutions can be counted from the minimum 21-credit course load, provided that they do not exceed nine credits. Up to two of the courses to be taken by the student can be selected from undergraduate courses, provided that they are not taken during the undergraduate education. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit according to local credit system and evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The student is required to register for the thesis study every semester starting from the beginning of the third semester at the latest. A student in a master's program with a thesis must write the results obtained regarding the thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the relevant institute and verbally defend his thesis before the jury. After the completion of the thesis exam, the jury makes the decision of acceptance, rejection or correction with absolute majority. The student, who has decided to correct his thesis, defends his thesis in front of the same jury within three months at the latest. At the end of this defense, the registration of the student whose thesis is not accepted is deleted.

The purpose of the Master's Program; To train physiotherapists who have advanced physiotherapy and rehabilitation basic knowledge and skills and who can carry the identity of Scientist. The program aims to have the knowledge and skills of physiotherapists to be expert and competent in both clinical and academic fields and to follow scientific developments in their field. The student who graduated from the program; It is aimed to have sufficient and critical thinking capacity in transferring the theoretical knowledge acquired by reviewing its knowledge and skills and in seeking answers to research questions in the field. Improving presentation skills, training physiotherapists who have research knowledge and skills in the field and field. Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Graduate programs include elective courses as well as compulsory courses related to basic medical sciences, physiotherapy and rehabilitation and general culture.

Specialized physiotherapists who completed their master's degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, in public private hospitals, private education and rehabilitation centers, physical therapy and rehabilitation branch centers, municipalities, wellness centers, elderly care centers, private clinics, thermal and spa cure centers, sports clubs, at home work in nursing centers, their own exercise counseling centers, continue their academic career at universities, and serve as academics

Graduates who successfully complete the master's program are admitted if they are successful in the written scientific evaluation exam and / or interview exam, which can apply to doctorate programs in their field and in multidisciplinary fields, provided that they get the valid grade from the ALES exam and provide English language proficiency.

In accordance with the “Ege University Graduate Education Regulation”, students of the master's program successfully complete a minimum of 120 ECTS lessons, including compulsory and elective courses, at least one seminar and thesis study during their education. must pass. After the student successfully completes 60 ECTS courses, he / she should submit a master thesis proposal under the supervision of his advisor and must successfully complete his master's thesis.

The measurement and evaluation method applied for each course has been defined in detail in the 'Course Education Plan' by considering the Ege University Education Regulation and the Assessment and Evaluation Guide.

As the application area; Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, education-research hospitals, state hospitals, private hospitals, special education and rehabilitation centers, physical therapy and rehabilitation branch centers, local government health institutions, sports-clubs, nursing homes are used.
