History

Electricity Program was opened as secondary education with the transfer protocol without examination within the framework of the cooperation of MEB-YÖK in 2002, affiliated to Bergama Vocational School. Until 2007, he carried out education and training activities in Aliağa Multi-Program High School. Later, the Terminal building, which was transferred to Bergama Vocational School by Aliağa Municipality in 2004, was restored with the resources provided by the industrialists of the region, and the Electricity Program at the Aliağa Campus of Bergama Vocational School continued to serve with other programs on 12.12.2007. It has also started Formal Education since 2007-2008 academic year. As of the 2020-2021 academic year, evening education program student admission has been suspended.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Ege University Assessment and Evaluation Directive ARTICLE 20 - (7) Among the students who have graduated from another higher education program or who cannot complete their education by enrolling in another higher education program, The grades of those who are granted exemption from the courses they are given by the relevant unit management board are recorded in the transcript and added to the AGNO account. Students who will apply for exemption, apply to their units until the midterm exams following the date they enroll in our university, can carry out the exemption process. The relevant departments examine all the courses taken by the students, determine the courses that the student will be exempted for once only and submit them to the relevant unit board of directors.

In order to successfully complete all the courses available in the program, obtaining a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully completing their professional internship, every student can graduate with an associate degree as an Electrical Technician.

Knowing the basic principles and principles of electrical, electronic circuits and components, Able to control electrical machines and power systems with semiconductor switching elements, Ability of knowledge and application in the maintenance and fault finding techniques of electrical electronic systems, Knowing the winding structure and projecting of electrical machines, Computer aided drawing Able to draw printed circuit and installation projects using their facilities, Recognize modern control circuits, use programmable logic control devices (PLC), Practice appropriate measurement and test methods in electricity, Have knowledge and application experience about electrical control units and power systems used in electrical circuits, To train electrical technicians who are knowledgeable about the production, distribution and installation plans of electrical energy.

1- In electrical workshops and enterprises owned by public institutions and organizations, 2- In electrical workshops and laboratories of factories, 3- In electrical contracting companies, 4- In electrical project offices, 5-In technical departments of construction works affiliated to universities, 6- In airports, 7 - They work in sea port enterprises, 8- in large ships, 9- in technical operation units of large hotels.

Access to Further Studies

Candidates who have successfully completed their Associate Degree education can continue their education at the Faculty providing undergraduate education if they are successful in the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam).

Measurement and Evaluation method applied for each course is applied in accordance with Ege University measurement and evaluation principles directive.
